What is EFT?

EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) is an effective therapy which provides understanding of emotions and how they impact interactions with loved ones.  A therapist can help you strengthen the emotional bonds in with your family to promote security and resilience in these connections, which will allow for positive and productive interactions. It is mostly commonly utilized in family or couple's therapy sessions.

This approach helps us shift our focus from trying to make our loved one change their behaviors, which only makes matters worse, to focusing on our attachments with them.  With EFT, I help facilitate awareness and an interruption of problematic patterns among family members as well as reconnecting healthy ways.  The emotional connection helps bring clarity to what is needed as a nurturing response from loved ones and allows families and couples to gain resilience and confidence in these secure attachments.
